AFPSAT
The Armed Forces of the Philippines Service Aptitude Test, or AFPSAT, is the pre-entry examination for qualified applicants who wish to join the armed forces. If you are planning to join the Philippine Army, Philippine Navy, or Philippine Air Force, you must first take and pass this test administered by the Army Recruitment Office.
Qualifications and Requirements for AFPSAT
The AFPSAT is exclusively administered to individuals eligible for the Officer Candidate Course, Officer Preparatory Course, or Candidate Soldier Course. For those aspiring to join the Army through the Officer Candidate Course (OCC), the following qualifications apply:
A bachelor's degree is required (College grad).
Natural-born Filipino citizenship.
Age between 21 and 27 upon admission.
Single, never married, and without children.
Height not less than 5'0 ft. (152.4 cm) for both genders, but not exceeding 6'4" (193.04 cm).
Good moral character.
Physical, mental, and psychological fitness for active military service.
AFPSAT raw score of 71/150 or higher.
Successful completion of pre-entry written exams (Army Qualifying Exam (AQE) & Special Written Exam (SWE)).
Pass the Physical Medical Exam and Physical Fitness Test conducted by the Philippine Army Officer Selection Committee Interview (PAOSC).
For those considering the Candidate Soldier Course (CSC) and enlistment, the qualifications include:
Natural-born Filipino citizenship.
Either 72 college units or, for high school graduates, technical skills (Tesda) and talents needed by the AFP.
Age between 18 and 26 at the time of appointment as Candidate Soldier.
Height of at least 5'0" (male and female), with no height waiver issued.
Single and childless.
Good moral character.
AFPSAT score of at least 45/150.
Successful completion of pre-qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Physical Medical Exam (PME).
Physical and mental fitness for military training.
Basic requirements for AFPSAT preparation include:
Birth Certificate in SECPA issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority.
Original Transcript of Records and Diploma for degree holders (or TOR for college undergraduates).
Original diploma with Form 137-A for high school graduates (along with Tesda or Vocational course certificate).
Government-issued Valid ID (e.g., PhilSys National ID, Driver’s License, SSS ID, Postal, and many more).
Two passport-size (2x2) photos with a white background.
Female applicants should have at least 72 units from college.
Mongol Pencil No.2.
Medical Certificate from the Municipal/City Health Office confirming COVID-FREE status/Fit to travel.
Face mask, face shield, and disinfectant/alcohol.
